As you are reading this I am in some state of “FUN!” I’m setting sail on the SS NKOTB today bound for Half Moon Cay, Bahamas and Key West. The destinations aren’t even the high points of the cruise. It’s the parties on the boat that go allllllll night.
I’ve never been but for the past four years I have read tweets, blogs, Facebook statuses and listened to stories from friends who had the most amazing time. I have wanted to be a part of this for a long time and 2 years ago I almost was. A few months before this blog started, I realized that there was no way I’d be able to pay for the trip and I reluctantly gave up my spot. The following May I heard the most amazing stories from my closest group of friends. I shed a few tears as I learned of all the great things I had missed out on.
And I vowed to one day have the opportunity to party like a rock star for a few days with my favorite group!
I’m only able to do this because of a great friend who is helping make this happen. There is one hell of a hug coming your way my dear! And you readers can guarantee that by the time you’ve read this, I’ll have already done a bunch of hugging! I am not the only one benefiting from the generosity of this one person. Three people (one who is traveling from Europe for this!) are about to have the times of their lives. There aren’t enough kind and generous people in this world (as is evidenced by some of the negative talk about me when I posted how this trip came to be, but we won’t let those Negative Nelly’s win!) and it’s a shame that we question those who want to do something nice for us. This took A LOT of time for me to come to terms with but I’m so excited that I finally accepted the help.
Some days I feel so lucky to have people who care about me cheering me on!
I have a couple of guest posts lined up for the next couple of days. For now though, this is what I’m about to be a part of, call it whatever you want, I call it “a hell of a good time!”
